Default Any Blu-Ray Fans out there?

Anybody on here into Blu-Ray movies? Since we've got the PS3 movie night has become a family thing at our house again. I absolutely love watching Blu-Ray movies with my fiance' and our daughter on the 1080p 60" widescreen with the surround sound kickin'. The clarity of the images and quality of the sound produced is just awesome IMO. It's like when DVD's first came out but better for me. I can even tollerate watching her "girlie" movies on blu-ray and my daughters animated movies are pretty darn cool as well.

I know, I love it! Can't wait until the prices come down on Blu-Ray burners and discs for the PC. Right now a blank disc is around $10-15 / disc and a burner is around the price of a decent blu-ray player. Got the software and have the hardware add to my dream/wish list. lol

I told people prior to it actually happening that Blu-Ray would be victorious over HD-DVD. Not because I am a Sony fanboy, I just hate microsoft that much. The amount of info you can put on a Blu-Ray plus the added definition is top notch. Your movie night set up sounds about like ours, 1080 62" Mitsu TV with the PS3 ran throught the surround sound. Watching my little boys Pixar movies is the shizzle.

Definately, ours is a Mitsubishi also. DLP here, how about you? Prior to the 60" 1080P DLP we had two 42" Panasonic Plasma's. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom was overkill since we rearely used it and sold it for only $200.00 less than I paid 2 years later, not too bad..lol. Bothof those were only 720P or 1080i though. I actually traded the other 42" on Craigslist when we got the 60". I gave the guy the TV which I had paid $1400.00 for about 4-5 years ago (you can get them on Flea-Bay for around $350.00 now) for my PS3, Nintendo Wii and a brand new Smith and Wesson 9mm Sigma. I sold the pistol to a buddy a few weeks later because my 50 Cal Desert Eagle is plenty security for us at home and I carry a 40 caliber for my CCW.

I honestly don't watch enough TV or movies to justify buying a BluRay player, or some fancy TV.

I'm fine with basic cable and my five year old JVC 36" TV.
