I have been looking for a cold air intake for my 2001 xc70, but have only found one from Eurosport Tuning (link) for $200. Has anyone made an intake or found another intake kit that is cheaper?

 

my personal view is its the biggest waste of money you can spend on an engine. The Volvo air boxes are pretty open (this is not your mom's Buick) and unless you are building out with a larger turbo/more boost you are not going to outpace the stock box. Many cold air intakes actually don't do a good job of avoiding sucking in warm air from under the hood so if you want one for show, take a good look at the design to see how it collects air (ie from a direct large tube to the outside or does it scavenge from under the hood).

 

I 2nd that. It already has a cold air intake system on it.
