Question Car battery charger help needed...

My neighbor loaned me his battery charger. It's an EverStart Starter 50. It has two switches on the front.

One is the switch that selects the type of battery. Conventional or Deep Cycle. I chose Conventional.

The other button is 2 amp, 10 amp, and 50 amp.
Two amp says trickle.
10 amp says fast charge.
50 amp says jump start.
I chose 10 amp for fast charge.

I can not find a manual for this thing. The car battery is DEAD, bone dead. I just don't know how long it would take for the settings to charge it. If it's bone dead, should I trickle it for 12 hours or so. Or would 10 amp setting be good for 1 to 3 hours. I don't know what to choose.

10 amp setting is fine.
The rate of charge will taper off as state of charge comes up on the battery. 4 or 5 hours should be fine.
