Default Own Any Other High Mileage Cars.

Does anyone have any cars that top your Volvo? Our family has a Pontiac Trans Sport at 298,000. I don't know how she made it that far the way my family drives.

before my volvo I had an 85 toyota landcruiser with 210,000. It still ran and looked great when I sold it..............my dad has a '00 ford explorer with 235,000 on it, and that's a whole other story. It runs and drives and that's about it. Everything else is worn out or broken

With the advances with oil technology and people's knowledge to change oil, all cars should make it to 200k. I don't consider anything under 300k high.

Yes, people's knowledge has everything to do with it.

Did have one... a 1993 Dodge Shadow ES... had the 3.0 V6 with a 5-speed. Bought it from the original owner (Neighbor). From the time it was new it had synthetic oil in it. Clutch was original. Only things ever replaced on the car was tune-up parts, an alternator 2 water pumps, the regular timing belt intervals, and tires......no joke!

I bought it with 260k on it, sold it with 278k. Still runs and drives to this day with unknown mileage.

We had an 1980 toyota PU that the odometer had broken at 400,000 km. It still started and ran great but the body was disintigrating with holes everywhere and we worried it would get pulled over. Our 88 volvo 740 GLE is not far behind with 525,000 Km and still going strong. Today, I changed the lower ball joints, I guess they finally were due.
