Default Changed a fuel pump in a '01 Lincoln Town Car

Today I had the pleasure (NOT) of replacing a fuel pump in a Lincoln Town Car. The tank has to be lowered and it's a real hard job doing from on the ground in a condo parking lot. Took me about 6 hours, 1/2 of which was trying to jack the car with that suck a%& jack in the trunk and trying to get the straps back on. That's impossible.

I broke the end of the fuel filler neck so I had to go to the junk yard for another one of those. Broke the very end of that one as well. Not sure if the very end is needed so I just pressed on.

If I had to do it over again I probably would NOT.

I hate it when that happens.

The Police Package Crown Victorias that use the same body frame but add another gas tank protection plate for safety are special ones to work on as well. I would have set that car on fire if I thought it would explode with the gas tank not back in it yet
