Nope....I'm finally fabricating that enclosure for my 4"x6" dash speakers in the crazy cavalier. It is a pain in the ***...I forgot how tough that stuff is to sand down!

My hood is Fiberglass. while sanding it in a few spots I went a little to far. There is a white coating over the Fiberglass that I went through. I need to find out what the coating is and where to buy and put it back on.

Kind of on the same subject. I build Bag Toss or, as they are called here in Ohio, Cornhole games as a hobby. I have been making them out of cabinet grade birch plywood. You can not sand that suff because the final layer is so thin you go right through it with no effort whatsoever. When I see a rough or dark spot now I don't touch it. The first time I tried to sand a spot smooth it kept looking darker than I saw the grain going the other way. I could not believe it was that thin.

Sanding the hood was a pain because I had to go through 4 layers of Paint. It was hard to tell if it was primer paint or the sealer.

Fiber glass doesn't "need" a sealer if you're going to repaint the hood. The paint/primer should stiffen it up just fine. Just fill in the low spot with bondo, prime the hood, and paint away. Or, use the bondo jelly with short strand fiberglass in it already (blue label i think). The long strand stuff works with holes but low spots get to fuzzy.
