How about 130 in my old 1978 Plymouth Arrow with a 2.6 4 Cylinder.

 

The Ariel Atom is also very very fast.

 

Same with me. The speedo on my 88 GT only said 85, but the needle was buried at the bottom. I was doing over 130 following and M3 on an empty stretch of highway. THAT WAS FUN!!

 

Yes it is fun but then you hit a certain speed and you feel like you will take off like a 747.

 

And I presume that at that point, it gets somewhat dangerous.

haha..when i was into the 140s with my car, i was being destroyed by a viper..which turned out to be built..he was nice enough to stop on a ramp and wait for me..and when i got there 10 minutes later, he was very chatty!

You fellows need to get into a driver's school where you can truly drive and do it correctly! Untill you drift an off camber curve and cannot lift off the power, you just haven't driven. There is so much more than simply driving straight down an interstate. A driver's school is going to get you track time and you will most certainly learn about brake fade and handling. You will have the opportunity to dial in the suspension and find out what tyre pressure will do for you. You will understand understeer and oversteer and how to set up the auto to take advantage of them...............you can contact a Porche club, a BMW club, and a plethora of auto clubs for a track day. Tech, Sebring has a ton of schools that you can take that Mustang to.....................a word of caution 'though, you will need fresh brake fluid and a back-up set of brake pads! You also have a tendancy to use up tyres!

I would love to do it. I love taking the corners so fast that you are SLAMMED up against the door and can't move.
I do more that just drive straight. I love the corners.

One day I would also like to buy and install the little computer thing that gives all your times and the G's you are going straight and turning.
