New member. 40 year old with a daughter. Have a 2012 s60 t6. First car was a 1979 Chevrolet Malibu. Complete with wooden board to cover the hole behind the driver seat. Similar to Fred Flintstone's.

60 1/2. 1 wife, 3 sons, 3 Volvos, 1 VW, 1 Mountaineer. Mostly drove old Chevys (Nova, Impala, Chevelle, Biscayne, Caprice), some Fords and Chrysler products in my formative years

 

I'm also 25 just went from a 2004 vw Passat 2.8 4motion fully loaded to a 2012 t6 awd. Love love love the Volvo (named her Vivi); the porsche engineered engine is what made me take a 2nd look at the Volvo. 325 lb-ft tq and 300hp feel good and oh so smooth! I love VWs and audis but the recent VWs esp passats and Jettas are so generic in appearance and power output I had to look at audi. While shopping for an a4 with a v6 in it I couldn't find a nice deal on one that didn't feel like a trade off coming from my Passat. Long story short I looked at Benz e350, BMW 528xi, then saw a great deal for a Volvo s60 4&3 years newer than the German rivals, researched the s60 t6, liked what I read, test drove the vehicle, a little rougher than the bimmer but better in turns than the Benz plus much younger and the haggling with the salesman started. I've had Vivi for about a week and my family (2013 audi q5, 2014 vw Passat tdi, 2009 cc vr6 4motion) love it. There are things I wish Volvo would've copied from vw engineers (doors suspension dual clutch dsg transmission as standard) but still pretty satisfied love her like I loved my Passat! Volvo you have our German engineered family's attention I applaud you!

Picked up this beauty of a 2006 s60r a few weeks ago and I LOVE it! Possibly better I think than the Audi A4 I had previously as my first car.
