I Can Not Believe What I Bought
After 26 years of buying nothing but Volvo cars (I do buy different SUV's and trucks) I just bought a 2006 BMW 330xi. I test drove several S60 R's and T5's, but I just really liked the comfort and overall feel of the BMW better. If only Volvo would have kept making the 850 style I would have bought one in a minute.
I got the Alpine White with Saddle colored interior and the car looks like new even though it has 92K on the clock. Getting ready to take off to DC and then to Myrtle Beach in it this morning. I'll post some pics of it when I get back unless it's against the rules to post pics of BMW on Volvo board.
I feel like a trader, but it was really my wife's decision since it will be her car more than mine. I have trouble parting with my 97 850 R, but it's not going far. My son in law and youngest daughter are buying it so I can still drive it occasionally.
Yellow T5R is going nowhere though. That's my car.

Myrtle Beach, I just left there a week ago. Had a pure blast!!! Went and seen the upside down building and all the fun stuff at the attraction area and also hung out at the shore line. Pure fun. Have a great time and please post pics of the Bimmer. I would have one if I could afford it. They are not mechanic friendly but awsome cars.

Can't blame you for being swayed to a BMW. My dad bought a 1998 540i brand new and drove it for 280K miles. It still looked brand new when he traded it. Other than some electrical gremlins in the dash he really never had a problem with it. It was black with the gray interior. He traded it for a "used" (couldn't tell it by looking at it) 2006? 750iL. Black with gray interior also. The "L" for luxury is an understatement. This car does everything but wipe your butt for you. . I'd kill for one, and as expensive as they are, that's probably the only way I'll ever get one.

Actually Jim I think you're correct, the L stands for longer, but it could just as well stand for luxury. I don't think I've ever been in a car with as many "kicks & giggles" including the DVD screen that folds down at the rear of the center arm rest, the wedge shaped thingie in the floor that allows you to put your feet at an angle instead of having to have them "painfully" flat on the rear floor board & of course the smart key that knows when you are near the car and unlocks the door.
