Locked out
 

I have a 2008 Volvo xc70 every so often when I lock the doors and return I'm locked out. The remote or the key bar will not unlock the door. I have changed the battery in the remote and it still will not open the door. I don't understand what could be causing it to happen or how to fix it and why the key bar won't open the door. It cost $90.00 every time I call a tow truck to open the door. Once they open it with the lock out kit everything works normal for a while. Please advise!

If you are saying your emergency key does not unlock the car when you turn it in the tumbler in the drivers door - there is a cable from the tumbler to the inner door lock that could be a problem. I know that does not fix your remote not working but, you would be able to unlock the car if you got the keylock mechanism fixed. It take a couple of hours to take the door apart and put it back together -
