Default Moving Sucks!!!

I've been moving since Friday and I'm still not done. I guess the cure to this thing would have been a house fire. Maybe that is what it will take for us to finally be rid of this junk we have.

I got a truck to move the big stuff and thought I'd move the smaller stuff in the wagon, what a mistake. I've made about 12 trips and I still have a 2 car garage FULL of stuff. All of which is going to storage (which I believe is the bigest waste of money anyone could ever take part of). I'm glad I know the dudes that owns it, so they are not charging me.

This is my second time moving down, hopefully the last. It's just me and the wife and no one visits because we are 750+ miles away from all family. Next move will be towards family and hopefully it will be next to the last move.

Who knows, maybe I'll strike it rich and I'll just pay someone else to do it. I guess the problem is that ADD / OCD people just don't like change. LOL

One good thing about the move is that my DSL speed almost doubled. Maybe my wife's game wont bog down while I'm watching NETFLIX.

Moved a bunch of stuff in storage today. Almost have the house cleaned up. I have my fingers crossed that I'll be totally out of the house tomorrow.

In 05 we moved and I broke all of my friends....In 08 we moved again and I would not call them. Two 26' straight trucks full + 3 pick-ups...Hired 4 guys from Hogar Crea (an intense inpatient drug treatment that my grandfather was involved with since I was little), no broken friends and a smooth move later, I was happy

I've moved plenty. Longest I ever lived somewhere was 8 years, and I'm 23 now.

Yesterday I got out of the house and had a wagon full of stuff on the side of the house to get today. Then I remembered 2 bikes in the attic.

Today I loaded down the wagon again and got the rest of the stuff on one load, then got the 2 bikes tonight. The main problem is that I'm doing most of this stuff myself since my wife is ill. I have to much JUNK. I will start unpacking in the morning. Should have the new place set up next week. After that I'll start trying to clear the storage unit. As much as I dislike moving, I will have to repeat this process in about 18 months. When my daughter gets out of college, I'm getting out of Arkansas and moving close to family. It will be easier to take care of my wife with family near (I think).

Hurrah!!!

Sounds like you are making good progress...good to hear the next move will be close to family and you'll have some help with the care taking of your wife and things.

Well, today is the 1st day that I washed the car since I no longer have a garage. I'll see how long it stays clean. I plan to wash it weekly and wax it monthly. It only took $2.50 to wash it up at the self car wash at the corner. I did use the foamy brush, looks real clean, my white towel didn't get real dirty.

My apartment complex has covered parking for a $20 monthly fee. I'm going to try to avoid that fee unless I get some more steady income. I think they're just chizzeling the tenants since about 1/2 of the parking is covered. They can assign one spot per unit easy. Just greedy!!! The root of decay of America.
