Default Name That Tool

I made this tool to work on my Volvo and I thought it might help other members. But I also thought it would make a nice game that I hope keeps going. Not for this tool but for all tools that might make our tasks/jobs easier.

The prize for the winner is a choice of prizes

1) a seriously used PCV system complete with time hardened and broken hoses

2) used piston rings, some may be broken and very worn.

3) used and scored main bearings.

If you win... please send 50 bucks for shipping . Good luck!!!

It's a hollow tube made from thin wall heat shrink tubing. I now realize that this may not be evident from the photo. I'll provide some hints tomorrow after others have had a chance to look

It is used for working on the engine.

Is it used to clean out the smaller Oil passage ports?
Like the oiling holes in the head for the lifters?

Very close. Think about the step by step process. I once saw someone use a straw instead of the tool I made.

Default here it is

Okay so you may think I'm a bit **** but I think these little seals have a very tough life, not to mention they live in a place that's not so easily accessible. So I saw a guy on utube using a straw to install them but the straw had to be just the right size to fit over the valve stem but not too big that the seal wouldn't fit over it.

I really didn't want to force the seal over the keeper grooves and risk putting the slightest nick or tear in its lip, the consequences are big. So thinking to how to make a tool that is the perfect size for both I thought heat shrink.

Use thin wall heat shrink, oil the end of the valve stem, place the heat shrink over it and apply heat evenly and slowly.

hope this is a useful tool.

LOL maybe I will have the N/A wagon going as well and the daughter driving it.
Not sure if you saw the latest update on it though.

Put rear lowering springs on it,Blacked out grill, tinted corner lights, and turbo rims.
This week I am putting the Bilsteins on with the springs I cut then bent in to hold the spring seat in the front.

I have a few other things to do to it as well. But have to make a trip to Ft meyers to gather some more parts.

But also hit a wall. This car is going from a Manual trans to Auto. Now I need the wiring harness from the ECU box to the inside of the car including the fuse/relay box.

Yeah man, with my time on vadis I feel for you. A REALLY big challange. We think it's a big deal putting in an MT but from what you've told me and what I've seen the opposite is a tougher one. I'll try to get more time on the wiring diagrams this week, but I really need to get the t5 on the road.

Ps tech just make her learn how to drive the MT. Just give her your car hahaha
