Default New FCP site...

What is your thoughts on FCP's new site? I like it a lot better than iPd's. It seems as if they are trying to capture someone elses market a little. I must say, FCP Euro is a lot easier to remember. The site was easy to figure out as well.

I give it a "C". To many exterior parts show up in the interior search and there are several photos that are not showing up. I think they will take care of the photo issue and I'll upgrade my score to a "B".

The euro site has a better feel to it, but currently does not go back past the 240's...unlike fcpgroton. Honestly, I liked fcp the way is was until 07 or 05 when they revamped the site to it's current look. Back then, Nick still took orders, answered the phone and such. I gave him an earful for 15 minutes about everything I didn't like about the then new site. The old site had a ton of diagrams showing inter-related parts. Now, you can only order specifically what you're after. I hate waiting on drill down menus.

Well, I've been an iPd customer since '88 and only learned of FCP when I found this site a couple of years ago. I did stop by there place when I picked up this wagon last year. It was a little hard to find since they don't have a sign outside. Didn't get what I needed that day because they closed a little early. I did leave them a little tranny fluid in their lot.

I guess they chage these sites because they have to keep up with technology / security changes. I like FCP's prices and fast shipping. I wish they would demand a little more quality out of their suppliers. Scary hearing about people complaining PCV and suspension parts. They should only sell parts that last as long as OEM or longer.

FCP swapped up their site about a year before IPD did their's. Just like IPD, a lot of FCP inventory fell off of the new site. They carry genuine Volvo product as well as the cheap stuff. You have to call them direct though. And, now that Nick Bauer no longer mans the phones at FCP, you need to have the parts numbers up front because the service reps, while good, ain't no Nick.
