INSIDE, UNRATED (DVD)

PQ =
5/10, it upconverted very nicely.

AQ = 5/10, it is a French film so the talking is low and hard to hear. Thank god for subtitles.

Overall = 7/10

This movie was good. A nice step away from American horror films. The fact that it wasn't in English and was in French but had English subtitles didn't distract me, it enhanced it more for me. I will say this isn't a movie I would let me kids watch as the gore in it is pretty good and gruesome. The ending is hohum, but overall the movie was good.

The Dark Knight (Blu-ray)

PQ = 5/5, Absolutely AMAZING!!! This ranks up there with Planet Earth. If your watching this in anything other then HD your missing out on pure awesomeness!

Audio
= 5/5, I don't have a 5.1 or 7.1 system. All I have are the speakers that came on the TV and I must say it is amazing with these speakers and can only imagine what it is like with a 5.1 or 7.1 system. The sound was crisp, clear and never distorted.

Movie = 5/5, this is a must watch in SD or HD, but would be better watched in HD formart, by HD I mean Blu-ray. The acting, the plot, the action. It is all there and wont leave you hanging. Absolutely a must have film.

Saw Quantum of Solace at the theater. It was okay. Not the best Bond by any means. Casino Royale was way better.

Bought the Dark Knight the other day, watched it last night. AWESOME. Saw it in IMAX this summer when it came out down in Indianapolis, but its nice to own too.

Modigliani (Amedeo Clemente Modigliani), Satellite BC.

This is a movie about a Jewish-Italian painter who had influenced artists like Pablo Picasso. The end of his life was tragic, added by the suicide of his pregnant wife. I do not like Modigliani’s style (I am more into artists like Rubens & Bougereau) but his life seemed unfortunate but intriguing.

I rate it 7/10, as I missed the first half of the movie.

SAW V (Blu-ray)

PQ = 4/5, it's a dark movie and I think the film grain in some of the scenes was added for effect. Just like in the movie 300.

AQ = 5/5, the sound was amazing! The screams, the music... Everything wonderful.

Movie = 5/5, I love all the SAW movies. This one is no exception. It really helped tie in the other four movies. Some may think five is too many. Believe me there are going to be at least one more if not a few more. I love this movie franchise!

DeathProof (Blu-ray)

PQ = 3/5 for first half. Got to because even though the film grain and extra noise was intentional it dragged the PQ down, but did help bring the entire effect of the segment up.

4/5 for the second half.

AQ = 5/5, great sound.

Movie = 5/5, this was great. Doesn't sound like it would be a funny movie, but it is. The humor in it while it might be dry was awesome.

Quantum of Solace (Blu-ray)

PQ = 4/5, 1080p/24p, wonderfully detailed and rich in color. The PQ on this was amazing. Just as good as Dark Knight and that was just blow your mind amazing.

AQ = 5/5, The soundtrack and dialogue was perfect! All in sync and sounded stellar and crisp. Couldn't ask for better audio quality.

Movie = 5/5, everything is coming together since the last one. Although it weaves a new section of the series. But that is a good thing. The Bond films will never die I don't think and this one was just amazing!

PUNISHER WAR ZONE

PQ = 4/5, it wasn't HD, but it wasn't bad looking either.

AQ = 5/5, great sound effects

Movie = 5/5, yes 5/5 it was great. Just for the pure gun fights and some grotesque scenes in this movie.
----------------------------------------------

THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS

PQ = 5/5, HD looked wonderful

AQ = 4/5, it was a very good soundtrack.

Movie = 4/5, good movie.

Star Trek movie

PQ = 3/5, Movie threaters look terrible. (Cant wait for Blu-ray)
AQ = 4/5, The JBL system was good, execpt it was missing some Highs.

The Movie itself.....
If you watch it as a movie = 5/5
If you watch it as a Stra Trek movie = 4/5

And THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS is a good movie...
I feel it would have been better if they did it in german. with subtitles...

def should have been in German with English subtitles.

That is what made Pan's labyrinth so good, it was in Spanish with English subtitles, which going into it I thought would ruin it. If anything it enhanced it.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (Blu-ray)

PQ = 5/5, I mean this is a dark movie, but the blacks are black and everything is the way it should be.

AQ = 4.9/5, Great soundtrack. The audio did cut out a few times on this blu-ray disc. Not a big problem and it didn't really deter from the movie. Just not something you'd expect.

Movie = 4.9/5, I expected a little more from this movie. It was a great movie don't get me wrong. It does help in explaining everything from the beginning. However I think the battle between the vampires and lycans could have been way better and longer. I expected an epic battle and I didn't get that. Oh well still very good movie.

Thumbs up Analyze This

5/5: Funny, Witty, Surprising.

One of my favorite movies of all times. I know it's old but one of my visiting cousins had never seen the movie. Very Good. If you have not seen it, get it from Netflix.

WARNING!!! Do not watch it with the kids. Crude and bad language.
