They don't, unless you're a Baller and then they will make a 1 off for you. Just like Ferrari doesn't but they have taken 456gt and with enough money have taken them and made them into wagons...

Oh, so you think you can just waltz into anywhere and have some company make a 1 of 1 wagon for you?

I'll be waiting. Although I would also love to get my hands on a 245 for a DD, since you can find them dirt cheap sometimes. Maybe when my wagon's done and I'm in VA, I'll drive down to Florida so you and Tech can drool over it.

Ha! I see what's going on here..........He called it Stodgy, however I love the older lines of a Pure Blooded "Brick"! A few year ago I ran across a wagon in Vegas which is now my Avatar. For those of you that haven't delved into the european racing scene, there is a company called VOX AKA VOCKS..in Sweden http://www.vocks.se/ . It's an engineering firm that specializes in motor development, chassis development,etc... They have a few cars not known to the public but to a "core group of folks"... They had a massive display 3 years ago at the SEMA show and also had a few cars on display at the FOMOCO booth. The Amazon Kombi Wagon I lust over essentially is a one off vehicle with aT6 drivetrain http://www.vocks.se/?p=viewgallery&gid=16. This thing is a beast. Here's a 242 that they built a few years ago for R&D and it the end of the video you will see they paired the 242 with the Amazon at a track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-xzkCdtMx8&feature=fvw ... Essentially that 242 is what I want to do to a 240 wagon unless I were to find an Amazon wagon. However I am a purist at heart and choose the 240. I also see a S60 somewhere in my future but for now I search weekly for a clean 240 wagon as a canvas... So Bobec, while that 300hp wagon I admit is nice. It doesn't stand out of a crowd full of custom euros! Anyone can buy a off the shelf car and tune an ecu and swap a few things like I have on my current 850, however to have a 1 off wagon that screams 350 at the wheel might look stodgy from the side or the rear end until the light tree at the track hits green and all anyone will see is a BLUR! I am sure this will take a few years to go from inception to the end, but like GIlbert33 has done, I will make a project thread to catalog the progress.......

Now that's a release. And I agree with Mr. Fierce here, that V70R is sick, as are all V70/S60Rs, but modded 240s, that's a whole different ball game, the ultimate sleeper in my mind. Once my wagon is completed and I am onto the next stage of my life (grad school), I would like to purchase a 245, throw on some coilovers and wheels and call it a DD. I would love to mod a 240, but from all the threads I have read and looked at, mostly on T-bricks, modding those cars involve a lot more custom work, unlike the 850's where the majority of the things are plug and play, but for a first car to mod, and with limited space/funds, the 850 is perfect.

I guess I am lucky in as I have our Admin. near here for advice and also have another friend that owns a Hot Rod Fab. shop... So with those resources here it's not as bad. Now I just need to find a money tree to fund the whole project,lol.... Like you (gil) being on the other forums helps out since I can find parts for that project all the time and I also have a youpull yard 3 miles from the house. They always have plenty of cars to pillage.

Yeah, I'm sure that makes it easier. My dad is very well mechanically inclined, but his expertise are on the car he grew up with, he is very good with Volvos as well since we've had so many of them, but the whole performance thing is new to him, as well me, but I'm getting better.

If I had more resources available to me, like what you have (lucky), I would possibly consider a 240, but I don't really have the time nor the money to have everything done custom. And it seems like a lot of the 240s that you find now a days for a reasonable project car price, the first thing you would need to do is build the engine, especially if your going to start modding those, which I suspect, those cars were not meant to run higher levels of boost as a lot of them didn't even come wither intercoolers at the time.
