Which one would you let go?

2002 VW Jetta TDI 125K (Mine)
2001 Volvo XC70 122K (Hers)
1995 Volvo 850 Turbo 220K (Kids)
1992 Ford F150 4WD 242K (Wood getter)
1983 Mercedes 300D Turbo 240K (new cruiser)
1965 Corvair Corsa 96K (Fun car)


The wife says we have too many and need to think about thinning the herd. Only one I would says is off the table is the F150 (I use it around the property too much)

Just trolling for opinions.

HMMM a little hard to say there.
But if it were me I would most likely get rid of the Mercedes but that is just me.

 

No brainer; the Jetta.

 

1983 Mercedes 300D. Going to be to hard to get parts for it.

 

Hmmm...I'd have to ditch the wife. As time goes by, maintenance costs will continue to rise, the front end inevitably wears out and the emissions? Don't get me started!

Well, if you dumped the Jetta, Merc, and Corvair, you could consider something really fun! Used to have an Acura NSX--what a sportscar. Only 4.9/5.0 0-60mph, but 175mph, great at the track, and truly beautiful. You can pick them up for $20-$25k. Best of all, you can't kill it--probably the most bullet-proof drivetrain ever put in an exotic sportscar.

Or in the same pricerange (little less) you could get an 04 jag XJR sedan. Just as fast 0-60 but top end limited. Great luxury sedan that was underated. Expect more maintenance costs though.

And back to the practical, I'd probably dump the merc and the jetta no matter what you're considering.
