Default Using your ipod or palm pilot for engine management?

Does anybody know if there is any engine management or real time automotive programs that can be put onto the ipod or Palm Pilot (I have both) to monitor possibly other things going on with the engine or monitoring the computer???

This idea came to mind. The ipod and also my palm pilot have some decent computing power and a large hard drive, and I figure because I keep it hooked up to my S80 99 percent of the time, it would be awesome if I could mount it on the dash or in the line of sight to where there could be some sort of connector going from the ipod or palm pilot to the OBDII port or something to give me real time data that the dash isn't going to show me would be invaluable, especially since these cars are so tempermental!

Besides, it's kind of fun to watch what's going on in your engine and such (or to me anyways) than just your speed, tach, and temp. I like other readings too.

Does anybody know of any software for either platforms? I am seriously considering adding this into my car, especially because I have some engine modifications in mind once I'm out of college and have a full time job.

I know they're out there, because I've seen these type programs for palm pilots. I just don't know where to look for them, what they need to operate or if there are any downloadable clients on the internet.

Well if you have seen them you should know to GOOGLE them.

I don't know what they are called or where to look for them. I do know that if you GOOGLE them you will find one most likely.
