Weekends - What did you do to your Brick?
Hey now all,
I havent done a whole lot of work to The Anvil but with much needed repairs, replacing things and touching things up here and there, things are starting to look good.[sm=smiley20.gif]
Over the last couple of weekends Ive painted the bumpers, front and rear, with Dupli-Colour Black bumper paint. I have also done the trim, handles, mud guards, wipers front and rear but I still have to do the head light wipers(tomorrow), and the the tail gate handle.

The new gauge to recharge the, now available since I replaced the fan, A/C.

I will take a bunch of photos of the inside after I figure a way to get the carpets really clean so for now these will have to do.

Back in a bit with more of the things I do to make my BRICK a "Ride of Pride".
I will set up a slide show of some favorite photos and post a seperate link with new updates as things progress.

Finally got around to painting the bumpers on the 850. Charging camera batteries right now. Soon as they're charged I'll post some pics and describe the process. Washed the S60 and then used it to take the wife to Porcini's for a belated anniversery dinner.
I also removed the fender amblems and replaced with the side markers. But that was a couple of weekends ago.

I really enjoy car watching to see what everyone else has

Looking forward to the [sm=Flahssssss.gif]
Now you are on about cleaning and painting this and that, I need to do the bumpers on the v70, but there are a couple of bad scuffs on the back bumper, whats the best to fill them with, or do you think rub them down.Cheers John.
Any auto parts store will have bumper repair kits that are pretty inexpensive.
Same aisle as the paint and in most cases, right next to the paint. It was @ Canadian Tire.
Do a google and check for techniques for application and sanding though. I have to look up fender repair.

Appreciate that quick brick. Was going to fill it with a fine filler compound. then spray the bumpers. and mirrors got marks that need doing. quite easy really. but it spoils the car, so i am going to do them. and will pop into the car accessory shop and investigate. thankyou again. Cheers John.
Never hurts to help[sm=smiley20.gif]
Forgot to mention that I now have A/C again because of the cooling fan replacement
Three cans of RedTek and a new pigtail with a gauge and The Anvil is one [sm=shades.gif] ride now.

got the OEM spoiler with brakelight mounted. Removed the original
brakelight, so the next question is: what do most people do to
cover the hole?. Looks much better.

Hey Tbob,
Can you post a photo of your brick?
I am jealous of your wing and would love one for mine.
If it was me doing the install I would have left the light in place and wired the wing as well. Unless there is a law prohibiting the extra light I would welcome all the light in the rear.

Side markers sat for quite some time and finally made it on to the car.
Trim and bumpers and everything else that I painted look really nice as well.
Before paint, not mine but you get the idea,

and then after, mine of course.

See, Black Is Beautiful.
