Default What Are Your Plans For the Super Bowl?

It's Super Sunday and I know there has to be at least a few football fans here. I'm rooting for the Giants, or should I say I'm rooting against the Patriots. Don't really have plans other than to watch the game and maybe drink two or three beers. I might go over to Justin's and watch it with him or maybe my daughter's whose husband is a Giant's fan. They live real close to each other. If the Steelers were in it, my house would decorated in black and gold and everybody would be coming here. We all have HDTV so that's taken care of. Watching sports in HD is the only way to go.

Well my Packers are out so I'm just watching for the commercials. I think the Pats will win but wont cover the spread. Making my famous Philly cheese steaks, chips and dip and a cold brewski and I'm all set.

Agreed!!
50" HDTV, 6 pack of Leinenkugels Sunset Wheat, Pizza, Pizza Rolls, Chicken Wings, Potato Chips.... Heartburn.

And it would be great for the Pats to win to complete the perfect season. It would be great for the Giants to win it, to destroy the perfect season. I am a football fan but I can't say I'm rooting for either team. I just hope it stays close.

Maybe it's just me but I am a little fed up with Superbowl commercials. It's just an excuse for companies to blow their advertising budget on 30 seconds of airtime. I think its stupid how over-the-top they've become.

Amen to the HD. I bought my 51" before we had HD through our cable and basketball & football were horrible. They are a gazillion times better in HD.

Would anyone agree with me that the Ads were well below par this time around?

I didn't really pay much attention to the commercials and never really do. I was really into the game. It was definitely one of the best Super Bowls I have watched that didn't have the Steelers playing. I was glad that the Giants won. I like some of the players on the Patriots, but I can not stand Belichek, and really didn't want to see 19-0.

EasyRed, Minnesota is a great state. What's your gripe with the New England area? I've been here my whole life, we have a little of everything; Ocean, Mountains, Lakes, Islands, History, Cities, Country, diverse Coastline, Mills, Farms, etc. I've found if your repulsed by one thing (like a dirty run down city inhabited by derelicts) you don't have to go to far to find a rustic historic town that will bring you back in time. So again who or what pissed you off to the extent that you despise all of New England?

Oh, OK, that's good. It's not us or the physical region you don't like.
It's interesting how paid professional sports teams, with players from all over the world, divide us.
Bring on theTimberwolves, the Wild, the Twins, the Vikings( We all like the Vikings, they make Volvos) LOL

Really, the thing that makes me most angry is Kevin McFail.

Then on to Baseball. The Sox are the new Yankees.

As far as football, It's not as big of an issue for me.

Now children, it was just a game. Sure Lost Vegas lost a ton of money on the game but, hey they'll make it up in one night at the poker tables. Oh well, on to better things. Who's going to win the NCAA basketball championship?

Now gentlemen, while you all enjoyed the game, I was stuck on the ramp at Narita International Airport (the largest &most inconvenientairport in Japan (or probably in the world for that matter, being too far away from Tokyo) when it was raining, snowing, windy, but-freezing cold, etc.....

.....[8D].
