Hi. I have a sailing yacht with an MD2040 engine with an MS15L-A gearbox that needs to be replaced. I have been offered a good deal on an MS15L-B, so now I'm trying to figure out whether the two kits are actually interchangeable (the ratios are the same, 2.14:1). As far as I can tell from Volvo's spare parts diagrams (see link below) the only thing that differs is the plate that connects the gearbox to the engine, but I would assume I can easily replace this myself (?). Am I right in this, or are there other important differences between the A/B variants that would make them incompatible?
