1989 Volvo 240DL for sale in Toronto
1989 Volvo 240 DL Automatic for the true Volvo enthusiast!
Original Toronto car which was one family owned until 2015.
Original 163,000 kms or 100,000 miles. Engine and transmission are very strong and car keeps up well with city and highway traffic.
Original metallic Grey paint. The original paint has a great shine even in areas like the door jambs and the trunk.
Original Grey cloth interior. Original (and stain free) black carpets.
Chassis, door sills and door skins in excellent rust free condition. The underside has been coated with rust protection wax. This car is exceptionally solid for an Ontario car! The left fender lip has a scratch but there is no surface rust.
Original spare tire and tools in the trunk. The trunk looks to have been barely used!
Timing belt and water pump were done at 97,000 km or 60,000 miles.
The following updates have been done to the car within the last 5,000 km or 3,000 miles:
I bought this car in early February with the intention of keeping it for a long time. I have recently purchased another car and now needthe space on the driveway. I would like to see it go to Volvo enthusiast asthis car will be an appreciating collector car in the near future.

The following updates have been done to the car within the last 5,000 km or 3,000 miles:
- New KYB shock absorbers installed on both axles
- New Lemforder ball joints installed
- New tail shaft bushing installed (FCP Euro part)
- New steering column u-joint (FCP Euro part)
- Crankcase ventilation system serviced – flametrap replaced and oil trap flushed with Amsoil engine flush.
- Bosch mass airflow sensor cleaned
- Throttle body cleaned
- New air filter installed
- New fuel pump relay installed
- Engine earth connections cleaned. These carstend to have starting issues if the engine earth connections are corroded.
- Nice original set of Cibie headlights installed– no faded or yellowed lenses!
- New front indicator lenses installed (FCP Europart)
