I have a 1992 240 Wagon for sale. 202,xxx actual miles. (Spedo works!) He is dark metallic gray with tan vinyl interior. I have owned it for two months. Wanted to have a wagon to go with my sedan, but then I got my insurance bill... Here is the deal:
Good body: missing front spoiler and rear "hockey stick" right trim. Some parking lot dings and scratches but nothing major. With a buffer, compound and a few hours it will go from good to great.
Interior: added missing/ broken trim and cleaned it. Looks really good. Front seats have some cracks but are serviceable. The previous owner took his high $$ stereo and speakers. I have replacements but have not yet installed them. Have full rear Volvo cargo tray in VG shape. The third seat is complete, functions and is in good shape.
Remote start/locking works well.
Air Conditioning and Heat: A++ on both!
How He Runs: Very good! Was owned by one family until about 2 years ago and they only serviced at Volvo dealers. New shocks, exhaust from cad. converter back, and other genuine Volvo parts. I added new front rotors and pads, new battery, wiper blades, oil change etc. Trans shifts really well.
What He will need: Eventually the rear pads will need to be replaced and/or rotors will need to be cut but there is life left on them. The struts are starting to make the ride a bit harsh on bumpy roads but it is not bad. (I commute 50 miles each way, every day and it feels fine to me.) The belts are starting to look worn (hoses are fine) and squeal a bit but no real cracking yet.
Overall he is a great commuter car that runs really good and looks good from ten feet away. With a little time and a little bit of $$, he could be a great looker and a great runner!
I'll added pictures tonight. Car can be seen in the Pt. Pleasant, NJ are on weekends and evenings and in Westfield area on the weekdays. Asking $2500.00 If interested call me, Scott, at 201-674-3981 or send me a PM.
