1996 Volvo 850R Wagon Black $3995
116k miles runs and drives beautifully, well maintained. Automatic, amazingly fast “the 911 of wagons” 5 cylinder turbocharged DOHC powerhouse. I'm a Volvo enthusiast, and this rare beauty has been my personal car for many years. Unfortunately, it’s time for me to be more practical.
The Good:
IPD Mesh Grille
Clear Turn Signals
K & N Air Filter
IPD ECU Upgrade
IPD Strut Brace
Eibach Springs (lowers car about an inch)
Fresh Sumitomo 17” tires
IPD Sway Bar front 25mm
Heavy Duty Endlinks
Volvo Premium Sound with Volvo External amp
Sirius Satellite Radio
Ipod Adapter (the REAL kind)
Blaupunkt Dash Speakers in stock grilles
Eclipse 5-1/4 door speakers in stock grilles
IPD Sway Bar rear 22mm
IPD Upper Stabilizer Mount
Bilstein Sport Struts
Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks
IPD Heavy Duty Upper Spring Seats
Relocated Hella Horns with relay
IPD Stainless Cat-back Exhaust
Retractable Cargo Cover and Cargo Tray
Bazooka 8” powered subwoofer
Front and dash speakers upgraded
Trailer Hitch & wiring (used only a few times)
V70 Tail Light Lenses
Reverse proximity system
All windows (except windshield) tinted
No crashes, title in hand. Leather with suede insert interior in good condition with no rips or tears. Carpets, floor mats need a shampoo, but are otherwise undamaged.
The Opportunities for Customization:
Paint! The clear coat has decided to retire early. It’s flaking madly on the hood and the roof. Absolutely no signs of rust anywhere. The front and rear bumpers were color-match painted several years ago, and the parking lot devils have smacked the front bumper enough it will need refinishing. The front spoiler has seen a few steep driveways as well. If I kept it (and I nearly did) I’d go flat-black all over.
Heater core- the heater core has been leaking a tiny bit for many years. I’ve found no evidence of water in the cabin, just a slight smell of antifreeze periodically. Unlikely you’ll notice, but the car comes with a brand new, in the box, replacement heater core.
Tailgate struts are weak and the car comes with a fresh strut set uninstalled. Takes about 30 minutes to swap out.
One axle recently replaced, the other has a torn boot and will need replacing soon.
