Default 2002 V70XC for sale or parts

I had some bad news today. My 2002 V70 XC has noise in the engine and my mechanic recommended a replacement. The car has 251K miles on it and to me, it doesn't make sense to fix it. Here's the information on the car - if you're interested, please let me know as soon as you can. I'm in Pasadena, CA.

2002 Volvo V70 XC, gold color with beige leather interior. Power moonroof, am/fm/cd stereo, power windows, power door locks, keyless remote (one key and one remote), air conditioning (works great), transmission shifts well too. 2 brand new tires on the rear and 2 good ones on the front. Drivers seat does not move, but passenger is good. Turn signals work, but act funny - I think the clock spring is going out. New power steering pump 2 years ago. Alloy wheels good (one is out of round). Has spare tire and jack. Seat material is okay - no tears, but leather is drying out a bit. Glass is good. Body has no rust and is okay shape. Front right fender was bumped and when the door is opened, it binds a little, but works fine. The problem: last week we drove the car and when we arrived at our destination, there was a line of oil drips following the car. I pulled the dipstick and there wasn't any oil. I had it towed to the repair shop and they told me it only had one quart in the oil pan. He filled it up, then started the motor. He heard a noise in the engine and said that he recommends either a rebuild or to put a used engine in. I've decided to sell the car vs repair it.

I have the title and I just paid registration, so it's good thru 9/21

If anyone is interested, please let me know. I'm willing to let it go for a very low price - just send me an offer and as long as it's reasonable, I'll accept it.

Thank you.

Very sad day for us!

He told us the problem was the PCV valve. It was stuck and too much pressure built up in the engine. He hasn't looked at the engine, but he thinks the crank seal and cam seal blew out. When he adds oil, it holds, but as soon as he starts the car, the oil comes rushing out.

If you're interested, you can call me at (805) 527-0597 or email at xftogk@gmail.com I was hoping it would go to a Volvo lover, but the shop wants it out soon, so I may need to either Craigslist it or call a wrecking yard.

Thank you.

The PCV system is clogged. Not that big of an operation to fix if you have any mechanical skills. Nice videos on youtube. If the engine hasn't been damaged then replacing the PCV box and clearing the ports will fix the oil problems. The problem is your engine is pressurizing rather then creating a vacuum. I wish I was closer(Chicago).
