'89 240 GLT Taxed, 12 months MOT.
1989 F Volvo 240 GLT 2.3 B230 Manual in very good condition for the age. Has been very well looked after during it's 25 years.
12 Months MOT (Expires 5/5/15) no advisories
Tax till June 2014
Mileage is circa 180k. The clock is showing 115k but was changed at 65k due to a fault and is fully documented.
Extensive service history going back to 1989 for its 1st service of 600 miles. It even has the Volvo cassette tape from new. For much of its life it been serviced at Riverside Volvo Doncaster the last stamps I can see is 2008 but the folder is full. The rest of the service history is in a A4 folder. There is so much of it, it would take a long time to go through it, as you can see in the photo it's impressive.
Tyres - Michelin energy savers on rear and N/S/F 3-4mm. Maxxis on O/S/F 6-7mm
Full black leather interior in good condition, no rips or tears, working front heated seats. Electric windows all round, electric mirrors, central locking, power steering and sunroof.
I've replaced the following since owning the car
- Cambelt and tensioner
- Waterpump, thermostat and coolant - Flushed out before hand
- PAS pump belt and w/pump, Alternator belts
- Serviced including Air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, spark plugs, rotor arm, distributor cap & oil
- Drivers & Passengers side inner tie rods, track rod ends, lower ball joints, drop links
- Polyurethane front Anti roll bar bushes.
- Front brake pads & fitting kit
- Front speakers and modified to fit original grilles.
- Clutch fluid
Radiator, alternator and centre exhaust section replaced in the last 12 months.
The stereo is not standard, it has been replaced with a CD/MP3 head unit. The speakers have been replaced with new Pioneer 100w speakers. I have made adapter plates so the original grilles are present so it looks standard.
As with any car of this age there is a few areas that need a little work, very minor in most cases. A piece of trim is missing off the drivers side sill panel, the aerial is missing. A few small surface rust on the sill panels. Patch of surface rust on the passengers side C piller, Surface rust on the both rear arches but very minor.
