Volvo 262 350 V8 FS $1200 for parts/repair
I've got a 1979 Volvo 262C Bertone coupe that I need to sell since we are moving. AFAICT, it was renovated in the early 1990's and the original PRV V6 was replaced with a Chevy 350V8 with a mild cam and a 700R4 transmission. At the same time the body was repaired/painted and I believe the interior was redone as well. It spent most of the past six years in a garage in NYS.

The Good
350 V8, runs fine, very powerful, great sound (new plugs, coil, spark plug wires, fluids, valve cover gaskets)
custom engine mounts and exhaust
new battery
new Bilstein HD shocks all around (less than 1000 miles)
new front control arm bushings, shock mounts, ball joints, etc.
new brake calipers/pads/master cylinder, some new brake lines
interior in good shape
lights, signals, wipers work
windows go up, down
speedo, fuel gauge, oil temp, alt., water temp gauges work
includes Virgo rims shown + new blizzak snows on other rims, plus another set of Kumho tires and some spares (relays, etc.)
The Bad
recently rebuilt tranny has lost 3-4 clutch pack, needs work
car can be driven normally/safely in "2" (up to around 50 MPH)
Hood needs work/paint
no AC, heater valve busted & bypassed
Body is in excellent shape for its age but has rusty A pillars
no title, since CT does not issue them for cars more than 25 years old, sold on a bill of sale
The car is a beast. It drives fine and always has plenty of power and torque on demand. I bought it as a restore and enjoy project. I did that but now we're moving and it's got to go. I've got more than $3k in it, but want to see it gone quickly.
Not parting this one out, only interested in a sale for the complete car + spares. Located in lower Fairfield County, CT. Contact okemocondo at gmail if interested.
