Default Volvo '97 850 Wagon, stick shift, premium features

I have decided to part with my 1997 Volvo 850 Wagon and I am looking for a good home. The car is light pewter (almost silver) and in good condition. It is located in Boston, MA. I purchased the car off lease in 2000.

It is a rare 5-speed stick-shift model that is equipped with premium features including:
  • Leather seats, power driver’s seat, heated front seats
  • Premium sound system with CD and cassette player
  • Power Sun roof (flip-up and slide)
  • Roof rack
  • Alloy wheels
  • Standard features: Air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, cruise control, dual front and F&R side air bags
The stick shift is exceptionally smooth and fun to drive.

This Volvo 850 has a new Bosch battery that was replaced under warranty.

The Volvo has been sitting in the garage in Boston for the past 5 years and driven very infrequently, although I have made sure the oil has been changed about twice a year.

I have found that if I leave the Volvo for a few weeks without driving it, the battery drains. I don’t know if this is normal.

The mileage is just under 122,000 at this time. The 850 recently passed the Massachusetts inspection.

The title is clean.I have a few new Volvo oil filters and bulbs that I will throw in.

I would like to get $2000 for this rare 850 wagon. Please let me know if you would like to see additional pictures.

Please, only serious inquiries for a sale in the greater Boston area.

(I have no idea why three pictures are upside-down. Click on them and they will appear the way they should!)

yes these cars do have a small amount of draw on the battery so if you are storing for long periods (say approaching a month), you should consider disconnecting the battery (I wrote my radio code on top of the unit - slide out and read when reconnecting...) or consider a trickle charger. good luck selling, that's a very nice looking car.

Default Out of town

Please note that I am currently out of town until just after Thanksgiving.

I will try to reply to inquiries.

I have new ignition wires and spark plugs that I did not have an opportunity to install, which I will include.

I'm now back in town. I checked spam. There was nothing there. I'm not sure what happened. The 850 wagon is still available. As I mentioned in an earlier reply, I have new ignition cables and spark plugs that I have not yet installed.
