Front mount intercooler question
so im gonna throw a front mount intercooler on my s40. year 2000. there is a hose that comes out of the intercooler (stock) that goes to what im assuming is the PCV system? it comes out right next to the air temp sensor. what should i do with that hose when i hook up the new intercooler?
I believe that hose is part of the bypass system because this car uses a MAF and all air that passes the MAF must be accounted for. The hose goes back to the throttle body. Basically, when the car is under boost and you suddenly close the throttle then all that extra air in the intercooler would slam back into the turbo if it did not have another way out. Now you could use an external blow off valve but realize the computer is tuned to account for that air being returned via the bypass. Long story short, just plumb a hose back like it's setup now.
