Default My wheels...

I couldn't wait any longer. I still need tires, but I had to see what it was going to look like on the car. I picked up tuner lugs yesterday. I put the wheels on just the one side and took a step back. Looks nice. I am taking them back off since the tires are in terrible shape. What does everyone think of them?

I like it. Looks real good. I would put them on. No one usually gets that close to see your tires.

I can't wait to pick up my wheels tomorrow. They have been at a paint shop for the past 2 weeks being re-finished. They had a lot of curb rash when I got the car.

I would, but the tires are completely f'd. All kinds of irregular wear and cupping, not to mention legally bald. It's just not safe.

No kidding! It made a car that was lost in a crowd into a real head-turner. And they really fill the wheel wells nicely. It makes me wonder why it took me this long to do it. I am definitely not regretting the purchase.

I ended up getting the wheels for $220. I got Goodyear Eagle RS-As for another $170.

Now that you have wheels, have you thought about lowering a bit to fill in the wheel well? I'm not saying slam it on the ground ,but maybe like an inch inch and a half.

I was originally going to lower the car with Vogtland springs which would drop it about 1.4". But the replacement tires that I ended up going with are a little larger than pictured which helps with that gap. The front already looks dropped and the rear isn't as bad. I am worried that if it is any lower, the front tires wouldn't clear the fenders on turns. Also, I am in the North so I need as much suspension travel as possible.

Sometime during the weekend I'll get some more pics up. Thanks for all the comments, everyone.

Here are some recent pictures. It might look like it is still way up in the air, but it's not. The fourth pic is the rear tire well which has a larger gap than the front by at least a half inch. But you can see that only two of my skinny fingers fit. I know, the trim looks like crap right.
