Well, found out that whatever they had they took out of the convention center........ Besides whatever they had covered, there were really no euros to be seen..Gianelle wheels had. a few euros, and one or 2 random bmws..... The show it self is small than the past 5 years. Guess the economy hit the aftermarket business hard!

Day 1 of the show was a little quiet! I can now see the effects of our beautiful economy. The show seems a little dismal with people attending and also the amount of cars that are NOT here! It seems that this year a lot of companies seem to use either the new Camaro or my fav. the Charger as a pallet to showcase their parts or Accessories! In searching the convention center, I saw a few euros but NO Volvos. Normally there is 1 or 2 in the show. Of course it takes 4 full days to see the grounds and you still don't completely see the WHOLE SHOW! Hopefully in my quest I will find a brick in the sea of others. One thing I did notice that is so wrong is the absence of Freebies the companies normally gave out! Enjoy the pics., hopefully I will find a Volvo before coming home!

To be honest, this years show has been disapointing! I found out it was 30% smaller since a lot of smaller companies have folded due to the economy and of course it's trickle down economics. Normally I come home with tons of free stuff. Not this year! I'm coming home with 2 magazines and 3 small trial size waxes ... Its very disapointing, but hopefully it will get better!

Let's hope in the next 5 years the show picks up! One of the best booths at the show is normally either Michellin Tires and Dunlop. Lots of eye candy with cars, celebritys and Models and BOTH were absent this year! Sony Xplod has also a HUGE booth along with Edelbrock and both had booths scaled down....That speaks Volumes. Maxxis tires also had a rock climbing exhibit outside along with Baja driving and that was also gone....I am thinking of opening a small parts business with low overhead, but if the big guys are scaling back, then maybe I should take note and maybe do nothing until the depressio, I mean recession is done with...
