Xc60 intermittent dipped beam light failure
Morning all. I've seen similar posts but nothing that gave an obvious answer to my issue. From what I could see anyway!
My xc60 (2010) stated to come up with a headlamp fault, dipped beam fault.
Nearside light is out. I took it out to check the bulb. It's a ORSAM 66146 HID bulb.
If I turn the lights off and then back on shortly after, it comes back on for a while then goes off again.
Does this sound like it's actually a bulb fault or something else like the connectivity for the HID?
Any assistance would be appreciated before forking out for a bulb that might not need replacing.

Bulb Failure - Dipped Beam
Hi.
I know your post was quite a few years ago but I would like to know what you managed to find out about this issue and if you could resolve it.
I have a 2010 XC60 with the exact problem.
Both lights (on dim and bright settings) are now flashing/flickering.
It was first just the left and now the right side as well.
Volvo service centre reckoned to replace both bulbs at R6000 which I need to know if this can be done by an auto electrician perhaps for cheaper?
And IF it is in fact the bulbs that need replacing.
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
