Default XC60 Tire

This has probably been beaten to death but I'm going to ask anyway. I have a 2023 XC60 AWD with less than 8K miles driven on normal roads and highway. I just got a flat on the rear right tire that is not repairable. I just ordered the same exact tire for a replacement. What are your thoughts? Thx!

Should be ok to just replace the one tire. Older AWD systems with a viscous coupler (1998-2002 Volvos) are more picky about tire diameter. The new systems are mostly FWD until AWD is needed.

Thanks! I kinda thought so after researching more about the AWD for the car. After 2017 Volvo went to a different system.

most tire shops will measure tread depth to determine how much of a difference is between new and the existing tires. in 8K miles, I suspect you're about 25% into the tire's useful lift so the tread depth different should only be minor. If you are concerned, mount the new tire in the rear...
