Hi everyone. I just bought a 2012 S60 T5 with 38000 miles yesterday. All of a sudden everyone is telling me their horror stories with Volvos. I would appreciate some encouraging words and if anyone knows a good, honest Volvo mechanic in the Houston area. I had such good luck with the Prius chat group I just know you all much be awesome, too! Thanks

 

I have heard good things about Southwest Automotive. They specialize in Volvo's. Been told a couple of their mechanics are from Sweden.

I have never done any business there before but the owner did look at my '91 245 and gave me some advice for the body work i want to have done.

 

I realize this is a late response to the original request, but I thought I'd make a mention anyway, in case anyone else is looking for a good Volvo shop in Houston. I have experiences with two shops: Volvos Only -- on Bissonet, I believe it is -- and Viking Automotive on Brittmoore. Both shops do excellent work. I usually take my cars to Viking Automotive, though, because I've known the owner, John, for about 18 years and he's always treated me fairly.
