I know it can....I use to tow with a Chevy tahoe and now I use my xc70 ...hands down the xc70 is a better tow unit. I think your car should be rated to tow 3300lbs....the s60 is lighter with basicly the same drive train I have never had a situation where I needed awd pulling a trailer. If your planning on pulling a sled wouldn't that be during the winter when its cold and snowy out? if so I don't see no tranny cooler needed.

How much does the trailer and sled weigh? I just towed a trailer full of stuff 620 miles with my fwd 850, no problems. Didn't really know it was back there. If you tow more than 1,500 lbs, the trailer is suppose to have brakes.
