Default towing a u-haul trailer

I have a 2006 XC 90 and love the car, I am going to be moving from PA to Fl (987 miles) in June. I am going to rent a 5 x 10 U-Haul trailer to move personal belongings. What do I need in the way of a hitch to be installed? Do I need to have the brake lights on the trailer wired to the car? I was planing on having a Drawtight hitchinstalled. Anyone have any information for me so that I do this the correct way?? Thanks

Well lets say for some reason brake lights weren't required, I would personally do it. Be safe and do things right. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
