Hello, I have just purchased a 1977 245 station and am looking to fit it out with a new head unit and speakers, only I can not seem to locate the rear speakers. Could someone help me out with this? If there are any?

 

I had a hard time finding anything specific to the car, here's what I did. screws because all the bass kept popping out the door clips lol

 

240's only came with optional 4.5" front door speakers, nothing in back. our 87 sedan, I cut 6.5" sized speakers into the rear parcel shelf, but that's obviously not an option on a wagon.

 

I use the fusion plastic spray paint to match the interior color. Adds a nice touch

 

,The newer models, or at least two of the cars I own, a 1991 sedan and 240 wagon, came with OEM Volvo rear speakers. I also removed the door panels from a 1992 wagon that had rear door speakers from the factory. The cutouts in the door panels are just to precise to be anything a dealer would have done. Maybe the older models didn't have this option. I like an OEM look and modern speakers can be fit in the OEM housings, you just need to find the right depth speakers and be willing to Dremel off the original speakers.

The smaller speaker (first picture) is in my sedan and the larger my wagon.

 

Hey the ealry Volvo's up untill about 1990 did not have any rear speakers so yours should just have front speaker's.

When they started putting speaker's in the back they are 6.5 inch
