Hello everyone.
I have a engine rattle and cant figure it out!
It happens only when accelerating. It is not a ping, it is more like a heat shield or a loose piece of metal, but I have looked everywhere and no luck.
All front seals are new, the valve tolerances have been checked, and the head was rectified, but the rattle persists! This weekend I will put it on a lift and see if I can find the noise from bellow while it is running.
Any ideas and suggestions are welcomed.

Hi again.
I put the car on a lift and run it. We searched for heat shields, mounts and loose parts, but nothing. Then we used a stethoscope and started listening to different parts of the car and engine. The “rattle” seem to come from the left front of the engine, below the distributor.
Anybody has any clue what it can be?
