1980 240 weak spark

RE: 1980 240 weak spark
cap and rotor are fairly new bosch, that wouldn't be the problem since the
weak spark is at the coil, i am assuming the problem would be coil, ballast
resister, relucter-sending unit in distributor or wiring - bad ground? what i am
not sure is if the ignition control module would put out any spark at all
if it were faulty, i know i am due for a new o2 sensor (lambda sond as the
swedes called them in 1980) as the car just rolled over 60,000 miles and
also i have had that typical ( in my experience) rough cold start that i
think is the cold start valve although it has always started right up easily
until now, i have never known o2 sensor or cold start valve to cause a weak
spark before, car is all original except alternator, tires, tune-up, exhaust
and motor mounts so everything else is 37 years old just not a lot of miles,
my ohm meter has been giving me mixed readings on the coil and ballast
resistor so i need to pick up a new test meter before i can be sure about
those parts, i thought maybe someone might have had a similar problem, the
1980 240 seems to be somewhat different than earlier or later 240's
thanks for what ever help you may have
