Default ATE brakes

1989 240GL - Is it safe to assume if the BMC is an ATE that the calipers are also?

Are you asking this because you need pads?
If so there is only one set of pads for the car.
The front is the same for all year 240's and the rears the same as well.

Cool, thanks. I was asking 'cause I'd seen reference to the cars having either ATE or Girling and I was just trying to build my knowledge/awareness on this new car. Don't need any brake work (yet).

The main cars that you have to worry about for the info you asked about would be 740 and 940 cars.
