1983 steering question
what's up guys, today I went out and bought a 1983 volvo 240 DL wagon. I got it for $680, it runs like a clock, silent, starts on the first crank. It does have issues which I expected, a small cam seal leak. And the one that I'm more worried about. The steering "pulls" to the left. The best way I can describe it is the steering wheel drops to the left if you let go. You would literally do a u turn while driving if you let go of the wheel. You don't have to fight it while driving so I don't think pull is the right word, it's literally a drop. Does anyone have an idea why this would be or has anyone has a similar problem?
Thanks.
Thanks.

have the front wheel alignment checked by a reputable shop, explain what its doing, have them check for any damage that would make it bias to the left.
might need strut mounts, ball joints, control arm bushings, something like that. me, if the car is nice and I planned on keeping it, I'd probably do the whole nine yards, with new Sachs/Boge struts, Volvo brand strut mounts, any brand ball joints & tie rod tips, Volvo brand control arm bushings, sway bar ends and bushings, etc. there's a pattern there, after-market rubber bits mostly suck.
