1988 740 Turbo heater coil
I have a 740 turbo volvo that works great and runs fine except for the heater coil. It's cracked and I don't feel like paying double what the cars worth to get it fixed. I just installed a new A/C system in the car and I'm perfectly capable of replaceing the coil, I just need to know how. If anyone out there knows how I need the steps for this big job.
Thanks, Matt

From a Volvo publication. They quote 3.7 hours for the job but that is for trained technicians. Allow at least double.

hear hear! anyone (Volvo payroll or not) who could do in under 4hrs. must have sat in an empty engine bay and plasma cut the firewall. Don't worry about buying pre-chilled beer, it will be ice cold by the time you get to enjoy.
I like the part where it says "installation is the reverse of removal."
Step 15: Have AAA tow your car to the dealer to finish the job.
Just kidding, just kidding. You can do it, Matt. Please post follow-up lessons learned.
