Hello all, I have a '92 volvo 240 that has a bad AC pressure relief valve p/n 6849313 that this part is no longer being made and is out of stock in various where houses I am being told. Have any of you had this problem the valve is bad and leaks, now I could go to a junk yard and get one that may be bad as well, or is there a way to adapt a valve from a different manufacture that would work?

Where is this valve located. Is it part of the hose assembly or located at the compressor. On my 740 they eliminated it where it was on a lower hose assembly.

 

It is located on a metal line below the radiator/condenser closes to the chassis under the large plastic air deflector.

 

How do you know it is bad. Is it part of the line or can ut be removed/unscrewed.

 

I just looked on line and there are several places that still sell it.
