Default 240 Charging problem w/everything replaced

Where do I start.

After the battery went dead my brain dead son replaced the battery.... without checking the alternator output voltage. Anyway, after I verified that there was no output I changed the alternator. Since then I have retured two of these and still no joy. So I then replaced both battery cables and the wire from the starter to the altenator, the altenator ground & the wire to the dash light and still no output. I have also replaced the #12 fuse.

Does the light on the Dash light up for the Alt.?

If not then look at the Bulb. If it is bad sometimes it will not charge. The bulb is part of the circuit.

Yes the light stays on

Whne useing a volt meter on the battery while engine is running the meter only indicates 11.3 volts

What happens when you rev it up does it change?

Might also be a bad wire in the engine harness.

The volts do not increase with increased RPM. Do you know if there is a relay in the system?

There is no power to any wires except the larger wire that comes from the stater/with ingintion switch "on".

The alternater only has two posts, larger stud has the battery power as mentioned previously and the small stud that has two wires attached one is the ground and the other I supect gose the the dash light but your point is intresting as there is no power there.

Try to trace that wire back to the Engine harness plug at the firewall by the Intake manifold. The plug has 8 wires in it. Find the color wire that matches at the Alt. then check on the Car side for power. If you have power there and none at the Alt. then the wire is bad.
Run a new wire from the Harness to the Alt.
