Default codes

Hi,
I have a 1989 240 wagon with the same codes. I took it to a shop because I thought it would be complicated. My haynes manual was NOT helpfull. $500 later they changed the oxygen sensor that is in the exhaust system in the muffler/convertor?
If you ox sensor is old, trying changing that. I think they are supposed to be changed every 30,000 km?
If you have trouble locating it, let me know. Good luck
