240 floppy side mirror
I'm editing and reposting my question from 2007, hoping someone has an answer.
My1983 240 has manual side mirrors. The right one has too much free play. In other words, I can adjust it with the in-the-car lever, but the entire unit, cowling and mirror, has several degrees of free play. I can tighten the screw that's next to the lever, but that doesn't cut down the free play.
The mirror itself seems to be solidly a unit with the outside housing. I can't figure out how to disassemble the aiming lever assembly, or if there's an easier fix.
Thanks in advance!
