Hi there, I have a problem on my 1993 240. The car idles rough when it's cold, it gets better when it,s warmed up, but still not a good idle.
I recently changed rotor, distr. cap, plugs. plugs wires, coil wire and air mass meter.
Any ideas?
Thanks all

Vacuum leak or bad/dirty idle air control valve.

Are there any check engine lights or codes? It is a EGR car? If it is, while idling, can you disconnect the EGR vacuum controller connector and see if it smooths out?

I'm not familiar with all models of IAC. Some are sealed and some can be opened up.

cla665,
I have a 1991 740 and cleaned my IAC,which helped my idle. It is located under the intake about the #3 cyl.,there is one bolt and 2 hose camps to remove. I sprayed mine with carb cleaner with out dismanteling, you can use a scewdriver or stick to open the valve on the end. Hope this helps with yours.
