Well, the strutbraces do a great job for stability under braking. It also tightens up steering response and make for a more "modern" drive.
The struts are stock, but not on this car.
They came as standard on the turbo models.
As for handling I changed the front torsion bar, front/rear springs and shocks, all bushings and strut tower bearings. All at once, it kinda makes it hard to be to specific about what upgrade provided what change.
But, the 205/16/55 sure makes a difference to.

Back in my Honda CRX days in the 90's (not ricey trust me)
I wondered across some cheapo 50 dollar eBay strut braces. I was shocked how much help they really were. Then you would see the occasional diagonal ones to the firewall, but without stock mounting points on the firewall on that car it wasn't really popular.
Good to know that they both do different / but some what similar things... (sad to say they don't make the cheapo 50 Dollar tower to tower brace for the 240s)
