Default 244 Heating Problems

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 1982 244 GL and am very happy with it. It starts and runs perfectly and is in great shape overall except for the heater. No matter where the temperature control lever is set there is always hot air coming out of the vents. At first i suspected that the heater control valve cable had simply come loose (which it had) but even after tightening it to its correct position the problem persists. Any ideas on what it might be?

I bet your heater valve is stuck. (the thing the cable hooks to)

Make sure the cable and the Valve are moving with the slider inside.
