740 Radio Wiring Problems
Today I took out the radio and amplifier of my 1988 Volvo 740 GLE to see why it wasn't working, following the install doctor's instructions, and i ran into a few problems. The previous owner had decided to go and cut all the wires so now i have to deal with rewiring everything. I'm going to put an aftermarket radio in and i already bought a faceplate, but i can't find the wiring diagram. The amplifier doesn't have the clips that are mentioned in the instructions, and the wires are different than those that are in mine. There are some connectors and a mangle of wires hanging out from between the radio and steering wheel, which i think connect to the radio and amplifier. I've researched a bit and cannot find out what wires go where. I was wondering if anyone knew how to hook up an aftermarket radio / and or the wiring diagram. Thanks.
Here's some pictures of the amplifier:

and here's some pictures of the radio:

I don't have a 1988 740 wiring diagram, so I can't help you with the colors. on the 1992 740, the amp over by the steering column had all the speakers wired to it, and the radio head had just the power and control wires, and a din cable to the amplifier
