Default 75liter tank swap

Spent 6 hours searching - thought there was an old (2004-7ish) thread about Australian auxillary 22liter fuel tanks / 75 liter' 93 940 tanks etc

What I am wanting to do is swap a '93 740 75l tank into a '91 240 wagon. Possible? easy or not?

Any Aussies know of any of the 22liter spare gas tanks or aux tanks anywhere? Canada does not seem to have had that option.

um, last year for the 740 was 1992, in 1993 there were only 940's.

240 tank is a completely different shape than a 740/940 tank, i doubt they fit. there's significant differences in the way the rear suspension mounted on the chassis and stuff, and the tank has to squeeze around all that stuff. heck, I think the gas fillers were on opposite sides of the cars, too.
